BRIDGING THE GAP

Posted by Pay it Forward Ministries

Bridging the gap As posted in several newspapers across the country, due to an ailing economy, national disasters, and even people relocating hoping to find work the number of transients and homeless are on the rise. With tent cities popping up in places like Reno, Seattle and Georgia homeless advocacy groups and city agencies are reporting the most visible rise in homeless encampments in a generation. Soup kitchens throughout our nation are serving hundreds more meals a day, local food pantries are unable to meet the need of the people, government programs are getting their budgets cut.Businesses continue to cut back employees often closing, leaving people without jobs or a way to feed themselves or pay their bills.Gas prices continue to rise effecting the price of almost everything around us, further impacting the state of our economy.National disasters’ have led to a chain of events throughout our nation that have had a lasting impact. Often leaving even those who's lives and homes where not directly damaged victimized. It has become a reality that our economy is in chaos and we're in a unofficial recession. The nation as a whole needs to be worried about our future as to better prepare for the harder realities that are yet to come. How can we get through this? The only clear answer is together. We cannot prevent a lot that is to come but we can prepare for it, and see each other through it.It is the goal of Pay It Forward Ministries to help bridge the gap that is often left after State and Governmental agencies step in. It is our belief that united one nation under God, putting aside personal differences and doctrine, faith based organizations can and will make a diffence in the future.Pay It Forward Ministries is “nondenominational”. It is a combined group of several ministries, organizations and community members working together to resource and better aid our Communities, States and Nation. This is done through a combined effort and collaboration of efforts from all those involved. We each bring to the table a unique opportunity to serve others through Christ by pulling upon our strengths and resourses.
